Vision

Charles R. Henderson Academy prepares all students for success in college and careers. At Henderson, we create an environment where all students experience JOY and feel safe. We empower scholars to solve problems, collaborate, and explore their creative potential. Core grade level instruction in literature, STEM programming and the arts, accelerates students' academic achievement. Student centered decision making, critical thinking, language acquisition and communication skills are essential tools that support mastery of CCS and NGSS embraced at Henderson.

At Henderson, students are supported in a socially and emotionally safe environment. All teachers and staff promote integrity, equity and model high quality teaching to meet the needs of each individual student. Teacher teams diagnose areas of need, plan for interventions, and progress monitor consistently for students to experience well being, accelerated growth and achievement.
